I prepared a general store delivery then helped to wash eggs. In the afternoon we planted garlic. The days are getting shorter and colder, next week is a holiday, and its time dig in on my own winter work.

Now that the fall CSA is over, our time spend on the farm is different. Today we harvested beets and carrots for the general store as well as packed up their dry storage items like potatoes, onions, garlic and squash. We cleaned up from yesterday's honey spinning then did an inventory of the contents of the meat chest freezers.

We harvested salad turnips, mustard greens, mizuna, and carrots then prepared a big delivery to the general store the day before first opening. In the afternoon, we planted garlic for next year and I thought about how what I do now is always some kind of planting for my own future, useful or otherwise.

It's week 10 of a 20 week CSA and onions are everywhere. Garlic is drying, carrots are diminishing (but we're seeding more every week or so), and tomatoes are flourishing.

We harvested Alisa Craig onions, carrots, and garlic this morning then we did odd jobs like irrigation repair and bunching before packing the vehicles for markets. I also worked a bit on my local homelab and blogging infrastructure, patched a few infrequently appearing bugs, and started retrofitting my own LLMBO service to be usable as an Ollama proxy.
