Educating Kids about Vermicomposting

TL;DR

This is a cross-post about what I did on my Friday off (notwithstanding tech contract work) where I brought my vermicompost as a show-and-tell to a local preschool

Why Bring Worms into a School

Sufficed to say, there are few places where you can bring your garden (or farm) to educational settings. There are also few opportunities to bring students to gardens or farms…and liabilities that come into play as well.

So when the opportunity arises where I can educate kids on natural systems such as vermicomposting, I’m all for it. I took a few hours to do this and it worked out great.

Future Details on Vermicomposting

I plan to devote a section of this site to topics that are adjacent to farming and gardening, namely vermicomposting, afterwhich I’ll be cross-linking blog posts relating to that topic so it’s easier to navigate the information.
